Sustainable Stillwater MN’s Green Business Directory is excited to host September Plant A Seed, a seasonal gathering for Green Business Directory members and local business owners interested in sustainability. These events are designed to foster connection, spark new ideas, and provide practical tools for building a greener community. This month, the spotlight is on wine — a product many of us enjoy but rarely stop to question. Without ingredient labels or clear standards, it can be hard to know what’s really in your glass, how it was produced, and whether it supports healthy farming and fair practices. That’s where guest presenter Ashley Hausman of So What Wine comes in. With her expertise, Ashley will guide attendees through the basics of how grapes are grown, how wine is made and packaged, and what to look for when making sustainable wine purchases. Participants will get to sample three clean, responsibly made wines that skip unnecessary additives and prioritize thoughtful farming practices. These tastings will be paired with light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, creating a warm and welcoming space for learning and conversation. By joining this event, guests not only deepen their knowledge of sustainable food systems, but also strengthen connections with fellow business leaders who share a passion for environmentally conscious choices. Hosted in partnership with So What Wine and The Miller Apartments, September Plant A Seed offers the perfect opportunity to celebrate fall, share sustainability journeys, and raise a glass to a healthier planet and community.
