February 11, 2019. Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce welcomes New Downtown Hotel, Hotel Crosby, and celebrates with a ribbon cutting ceremony on January 17, 2019, followed directly after by a Chamber Mixer event. Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, Board Members and Staff, Mayor of Stillwater, City and Community Representatives and Leaders, and the huge turn-out of supporters and friends of the Hotel and the community joined in to celebrate this historic moment for downtown Stillwater.
Hotel Crosby stirred up quite the buzz in downtown Stillwater on this brisk January evening. Standing room only welcomed guests as they entered the lobby and were embraced by the magic of Crosby and all it’s warmth. Looking around this richly designed and well contrived lobby, you will find many appealing places for your eye to rest and be awed within. Small vignettes create great gathering spots and restful places to sit awhile, warm woods and bright and eclectic fixtures give an interest to the décor. At the heart of this fantastic space emerges a glorious fireplace inviting you to take reprieve while warmly welcoming guests. The restaurant just within the lobby area, appropriately called MatchStick Restaurant and Spirits ignites the already buzzing atmosphere with open-area dining and a bar top built for engaging the public and the guests of the Hotel. Tours were available to meander through the halls and private rooms and suites of Crosby with knowledgeable staff offering their expertise about each space. Guest rooms as beautifully designed as the lobby area, each with its own individuality and hand-picked furnishings to give guests the utmost comforts of home- but better!
As a special surprise, each room showcases a full-wall mural collaborated and creatively designed by a fellow local business entrepreneur, Melody Fox of MinuteMan Press. Fleur de Louise is yet another business amongst a long line of locals who participated in the collaboration of Crosby. All florals and arrangements inside and outside the Hotel were artfully designed by Fleur de Louise to compliment the Hotel’s ambiance and character. All this a true testament to the Hotel Crosby’s commitment and added efforts to embrace the community and continue encouraging these local connections.
Through Crosby’s own words showcased on their engaging website, Hotel Crosby is a place where stress is unheard of and simplicity is the name of the game. The hotel is a blend of comfort and luxury and all are welcome to sit back, savor the day, and enjoy an unrivaled warm Crosby welcome.
The hotel’s design is driven by the essence of rich history flowing through the revived river town. The interior feel boasts a familiar coziness wrapped in a laid-back luxury lodging experience that begs to be explored.
The Crosby is yours to cherish. Whether it be for a weekend reset or relaxing respite, let this hospitality graciously capture you with their thoughtful conveniences and unforgettable experiences.
