(Bayport, MN) First State Bank and Trust is proud to announce that Alex Zeien has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation, a significant milestone in his professional career that exemplifies his dedication to excellence in financial services.

The CFA® designation, conferred by the CFA Institute, is a globally recognized credential that signifies an understanding of investment management, financial analysis, and ethical standards. Held by approximately 200,000 professionals worldwide, it is widely regarded as one of the most rigorous and respected certifications in the financial industry. Zeien successfully passed the final CFA® exam in August, demonstrating his commitment to
upholding these high standards.

Zeien’s academic and professional accomplishments further highlight his expertise. A graduate with senior merit honors from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, he earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration (Management Emphasis) and Economics. Alongside the CFA® designation, he holds other esteemed certifications, including Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA), Certified Fund Specialist (CFS®), and Accredited Investment Fiduciary Management (AIFM®).

Since joining First State Bank and Trust’s Trust Department in 2016, Zeien has advanced to the role of Senior Vice President. In this capacity, he manages a diverse portfolio of client accounts and plays an integral role on the department’s Investment Committee, where he contributes to developing strategic financial solutions. His expertise strengthens the bank’s ability to deliver exceptional service and trusted guidance to its clients.
