Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce welcomed local business,
Dance and Entertainment Studios, to the Chamber and the community with a ribbon cutting celebration on November 18th, 2021. The event took place at 5880 Omaha Ave N., Stillwater, MN.  Owner Tricia Wood Schwietz, her Dance Partner Troy Lerum, and her building partner Tim O’Brien, members of the dance community, Greater Stillwater Chamber ambassadors and staff were there to join in the celebration.

Upon returning from her honeymoon and viewing “Dancing with the Stars” with her husband Scott Schwietz, Wood jumped right into celebrating the business and Chamber Mixer. She has danced for years, but Dance and Entertainment Studios began almost 15 years ago in Woodbury, MN before finding the perfect fit in Oak Park Heights/Stillwater.  The studio resides inside of the St. Croix Event Center, formally The Heights, and provides the perfect venue for dance and entertainment.  

Tricia certainly brings energy, professionalism, and fun to those who have experience and those who are dipping their toes in the world of Ballroom Dance, (Salsa, Swing, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Fox Trot, Tango, Country and more)! The options are endless! Performance teams, beginner classes, wedding classes, dance vacations, showcases, and corporate events are offered through Dance and Entertainment Studios, for adults.

While Wood-Schwietz runs two studios, Dance and Entertainment can also come to you. She educates about the health benefits of dance as well. Corporations bring her in for Lunch and Learns to burn calories, build team camaraderie, meet new colleagues, and boost afternoon energy. No need to have a partner, she’ll rotate you with one. She encourages people to google ‘benefits of ballroom dancing’ and give it a try. There is something for everyone in the world of dance!
