Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce welcomed local business,
Establish Salon, to the Chamber and the community with a ribbon cutting celebration on February 17th, 2022. The event took place at 3515 Lake Elmo Avenue N., Lake Elmo,  MN.  Owners Ninna Waldoch and Gaby Kulak as well as their stylists, neighbors,  Greater Stillwater Chamber ambassadors and staff were there to join in the celebration.

Sisters Ninna Waldoch and Gaby Kulak opened Establish Salon in 2013 to “connect people who speak the same hair language.” Upon getting a ‘bad haircut’ years ago, Waldoch recognized that neither herself nor the stylist felt very good upon completion. Thus, with love for the beauty industry, the business minded sisters set out to help support stylists and clients to ensure that each person feels empowered when leaving the salon whether a client or a stylist. Establish Salon’s ultimate goal is to “create exceptional everyday looks that make you feel exceptional every day” states Kulak. 

The Salon is closely connected to the community they live and work in as well. In 2021, they created a fundraiser selling apparel, which promotes their community, to spread awareness for nature and conservation, and to support outdoor activities that people of all ages can enjoy. All proceeds are donated to Washington County Parks for trail planning and enhancement, nature based programs and reforestation efforts. 

Establish is an Aveda and easilhair pro salon which uses sustainable hair care products made in Minnesota. Aveda has been a leader of environmental responsibility and has influenced the way Establish does business. It has been rewarding for Waldoch and Kulak to see the shift in industry standards as consumers are choosing beauty products, companies, and salons that are eco-friendly, more natural and sustainable. 

Amongst cuts and colors, they also offer hair extension solutions for thinning, breakage, filler and length options. Their bright salon and enthusiasm for what they do is felt upon entering the bright salon. Waldoch states “There are a lot of great people doing a lot of great things and we are excited to join the Greater Stillwater Chamber and be a part of this exceptional community.”
