May 2018. Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce welcomes the Neighbor Stop to the Chamber on May 24. Attending the event were owners Kevin Amundson and Jenessa LaBoda, store manager Joan Bielke-Reiche, supporters and Chamber Ambassadors.
Their mission is: “To do our best to consistently provide our friends and neighbors with needed products, services and outstanding customer service.” That came across loud and clear during the ceremony. While the Chamber was visiting, the team new every name of every customer that came in. The name, Neighbor Stop does justice to their business. Located right off Owens walkable for neighbors, stoppable for all, the Neighbor Stop is snugly placed to gas up on the way to the river and pick up a few last minute items.
“We know our customers so well and pride ourselves on customer service,” stated Joan Bielke-Reiche. “If we don’t have what they want, we will do our best to find it, order it, and have it on hand for them the next time they come in.” Owner Kevin Amundson has three other stores in Blaine, Circle Pines, and Coon Rapids and his daughter Jenessa LaBoda lives just five minutes away from the Stillwater location.
The busy little Neighbor Stop has a Rewards program that customers may join for free with double rewards on Tuesdays. They open at 5 am, however, there are days that certain regulars, aka peaceofficers, need to get to work at 5 am, and Joan will sneak them in to get them off to a good start of their day. They also donate to Halos of the St. Croix Valley, and for the past 9 years have given a total of $50,969.26 to the Alzheimer’s Association.
