June 2018. Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce welcomed new member, Lora ,  at a ribbon cutting celebration on June 18th. The event took place at the new hotel, 402 South Main Street, downtown Stillwater. The attendance was sizable and excited as the anticipation of its opening had been patiently awaited. Owner and developer Corey Burstad cut the official ribbon while Lora staff, representatives of Provenance Hotels, the management company, and Zeman Construction, the builders, City Officials, Chamber Staff and Ambassadors, Local Business Owners, and curious Community Members and on-lookers were there in support of this amazing addition to Stillwater. The Lora is the first new hotel in downtown Stillwater since the Lumber Barons was built in 1890, now known as the Water Street Inn.

Lora pays homage to the river valley culture, perfectly capturing the historic setting, and complimenting with stunning design, featuring a modern warm vibe. This 40-room boutique hotel anchors the town of Stillwater with a simplistic charm that maximizes both regional history and the natural surroundings. Lora transforms a historic former brewery site built in 1868 into a full-service lifestyle hotel with high end food and creative drink.

Lora’s name derives from Loralei, a fable character story based around mythological river tales. Everything from the artwork, fixtures, furnishings, and relaxing vignettes and rooms in the hotel host this enchanted feel as you stroll inside. This unique and inspired atmosphere reflexes an immediate need for deep breaths and relaxation. The onsite restaurant wittingly named “Feller” seats 100 along with a private dining room that also hosts 40. It features a dynamic menu of locally inspired cuisine. “The Long Goodbye” will accommodate your cocktail craving with crafted specialties and a robust wine menu. For your caffeine fix or fresh juice, stop by the in-hotel café “Made Coffee”.  Signature amenities will ignite your spirit for a perfect and pampered escape with Lora.
