August 5, 2019. Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce welcomed new
member BLUE-PENCIL COLLECTIVE at a ribbon cutting celebration on July 30, 2019. The event
took place at 226 East Myrtle Street . Blue Pencil owners, staff, family, friends, Chamber
Ambassadors, members, and staff were there to join in the celebration. Over 50 attendees
participated in the ribbon cutting and festivities.
BLUE-PENCIL COLLECTIVE was founded on the vision of creating a purpose driven, relationship
based company that focuses on community involvement and sustainability. This collaboration
of strong and passionate women that make up the Collective, find fulfillment in an architecture
and design process which honors integrity and connection. Look at bluepencilcollective.com
website under “Our Story,” click on one of the women, and the first thing listed is their Super
Powers. This team of seven was built around shared core values, and partnerships were
formed to enhance their vision. The women of BLUE-PENCIL COLLECTIVE are passionate about
creating projects with intention through a collective of people and beliefs. Their passion fuels
everything they do.
What makes BLUE-PENCIL COLLECTIVE different is that they continually keep a conscious mind
on how the decisions they make in their professional and personal lives affect the present and
future state of our earth. Team BPC has established partnerships in 2019 with two
organizations sharing a similar sustainability vision- Minnesota Land Trust and Dem-Con
Companies. These partnerships not only allow them to work towards their sustainability goals,
but also act as an effective tool for education and inspiration. In addition to the Chamber
ribbon cutting celebration, the event was a fund-raiser for Minnesota Land Trust, who was the
beneficiary of $1500. “ We are thrilled to begin our journey as a business with a broader
purpose. Through our partnership with The Minnesota Land Trust, BPC is able to bring
awareness to the community, conserve land, and reduce waste. Thank you to all our sponsors
who made it possible for us to donate enough to preserve nearly an entire acre of Minnesota
land.” (Team BPC) The crew all reside in the valley, from Hudson to Lake Elmo.
