Community Thread Summer Service Event
Get Involved. Get Threaded! Community Thread (formerly Community Volunteer Service) hosts its first annual Summer Service Event on Saturday, June 20, 2009. 500 volunteers will work on service projects (painting, landscaping, etc.) at nonprofit organizations throughout Washington County and the Greater St. Croix Valley ? on both sides of the St. Croix River. Volunteering is a great way to give back even when money is tight ? and it makes a huge difference in the lives of people in our community.

Location
The day will begin at Lucy Winton Bell Athletic Fields (15601 Hudson Road, Lakeland, MN) with an 8:00am kickoff celebration featuring 5 Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl. Volunteers will then depart to one of 10 service sites for a fun and meaningful day of volunteer work.
Fees/Admission
There is a registration fee of $10 for individuals and $25 for families.
