Housing Solutions Workshop

Washington County:  Housing issues are a big concern right now.  But there are options for you!

Join us for a Washington County workshop, Housing Solutions: How To Make The Best Choice For Your Circumstances on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 8:30 - 11:00 a.m.

A Free workshop open to the public offering options and resources to help you, your family, friends or clients make the best choices.  Attendees will find assistance for homeowners stretching to make mortgage payments or fearing foreclosure; seniors who want to remain in their home and need extra cash; those worried about finances and debt, housing issues or rent; those who are looking for housing to fit a fixed income; and people facing homelessness.  Professionals who work with people facing any of these issues will also benefit.

The panel of experts include Craig Nester of The Home Rescue Team; Beth Paterson of Reverse Mortgages SIDAC; Jim Kroening of FamilyMeans; Linda Stanton of CommonBond Communities; and Tina O’Malley Bayonet of Washington County Community Services.

Additional resources will be found through resource tables from CommonBond Communities, FamilyMeans, HSI – Human Services, Inc., Home Rescue Team, Linkage Line (Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging), Reverse Mortgages SIDAC, Southern MN Regional Legal Services (SMRLS), Washington County Community Services, and Washington County HRA – Housing & Redevelopment Authority.

Hosted by Washington County Service Providers Outreach Group, the event is being held at Community Thread, 2300 Orleans St. West, Stillwater, MN 55082.  RSVP’s are preferred by November 29^th at 651-439-7434.  Light refreshments will be served.
