Intro to Sound Meditation
This hour long session will begin with guided breath work chosen to quiet the mind and relax the body. Participants will then be guided into a comfortable resting position as we transition into the sounds of the shruti box, singing bowls, gong and bamboo chimes. The sounds and vibrations of the instruments allow people to enter a deep state of relaxation and meditation by providing their mind a break from thinking patterns that may contribute to symptoms of anxiety, stress, depression and insomnia. With the experience of a quiet mind and body, participants leave the session rejuvenated and have a renewed sense of being truly alive. Presented by Bob and Thomasina Fisk who have backgrounds in music and mental health.
The class is $5 for any co-op owners and $10 for non-owners.

Location
Classes are held at the Loft, unless otherwise specified. The Loft is located at 218 North Main Street, on the second floor above Images of the Past and Present, directly across Main St. from River Market. Entrance is on the south side of the building. The Loft has a capacity of 21 people.
Parking is not allowed in the space next to the building; please use street parking or the River Market parking lot.
